“Send my reactions” can mean two different things: give someone a video to watch, or move a collection into Fesi on another device. A playable video and a portable Fesi archive serve those different jobs.
Choose the format based on the recipient’s next action. A friend who wants to watch a celebration should not have to import a whole reaction collection just to see it.
Send a video when the goal is watching or editing
Use the recording’s save or sharing options to prepare a video copy. Fesi’s reaction exports use MP4 video files, suitable for a receiving app that supports that media. Confirm the actual destination accepts the file before treating the transfer as finished.
A video copy gives the recipient the picture and recorded sound that are in that output. It is the appropriate starting point for watching a single reaction or bringing footage into another editor. It does not transfer the whole Fesi Library organization alongside the picture.
Use an archive when the goal is a Fesi collection
A portable .fesiarchive file packages recordings with Library information such as sessions, dates and favorite state. Fesi can import its archive format on iOS and Android. This is a collection-transfer workflow, rather than a movie file you expect a normal video player to open.
The archive can include multiple original recordings and information you would not include in a single social post. Review the collection before exporting it, and choose the destination deliberately. See the portable archive guide for the backup and import steps.
Do not rename one format into the other
Changing an archive filename to end in .mp4 does not convert it into a playable reaction. Likewise, renaming a video .fesiarchive does not create a Library backup. The contents and structure are different.
If a recipient cannot open a file, first establish whether they received a video or an archive. For an archive, use Fesi’s import workflow. For a video, check that the file finished transferring and that the receiving player supports it. Avoid repeatedly sending the same wrong format.
A reel and an archive are also different
A highlight reel combines selected reactions into one video sequence. An archive preserves a collection for importing into Fesi. A reel can make several moments easier to watch, but it is not a substitute for the original collection if you want to organize or edit its separate clips later.
Use the highlight-reel workflow when the story should play as one sequence. Use an archive when retaining separate originals and session context is the purpose.
Verify the recipient’s result
- One reaction to watch: send the intended video copy and play it in the destination.
- Several moments as a sequence: prepare a reel and review its joins and sound.
- A collection to reopen in Fesi: export an archive and verify its import before relying on the copy.
Keep the originals until you have confirmed the result. A completed sharing screen is not a substitute for checking that the destination has the file you meant to send.
Also distinguish sharing from privacy protection. Fesi Privacy Lock controls access within the app; it does not lock an exported file in another app. Review what you send and where it goes, whether the file is a short reaction or a larger collection.
