“Free up space” can describe two very different actions: clearing a temporary copy created for sharing, or deleting a recording you might want again. Fesi separates temporary-export cleanup from deletion of non-favorite reactions so you can choose the action that matches your goal.

Knowing which copy you are managing matters more than the amount of space a button says it can recover.

Original reactions and export copies have different jobs

Your Library holds reaction recordings that you review, organize and choose to share. Exporting or preparing a highlight can produce a derived file for the next step in that workflow.

That derived file may be temporary. A receiving app may also create its own saved copy. These files are related, but they are not necessarily stored in the same place or removed by the same control.

Fesi’s storage reporting separates known temporary export usage from stored reaction footage. It is not a complete report of every copy in Photos, messaging apps, cloud drives or device backups.

What Remove Temporary Exports does

In Settings, open Manage Storage and review the temporary-export cleanup option. On iPhone it is labeled Remove Temporary Exports; wording can differ on Android.

This operation targets known temporary export locations rather than deleting the original reaction clips in your Library. The amount reclaimed depends on which temporary files are present at that time.

Finish any active export or share operation first. If you still need a prepared output, save it to your intended destination and open that saved copy before clearing temporary files. Do not rely on a temporary sharing URL as your only copy of a finished edit.

Deleting non-favorites removes recordings

Delete All Non-Favorite Reactions is a different action. It removes eligible reaction recordings that are not marked as favorites, following its confirmation step. A clip is not disposable simply because it lacks a favorite marker.

Review your Library first. Favorite the reactions you want excluded from that cleanup, and make a separate verified copy of anything irreplaceable. Favorites are protected by this particular operation, not by every possible deletion or loss of the device.

Read the confirmation carefully. Cancel if the action covers more recordings than you intend to remove.

Choose cleanup based on your actual problem

Verify before and after

  1. Finish any active recording, export or sharing operation.
  2. Check where important originals and finished exports are stored.
  3. Choose the specific Fesi cleanup action that fits your goal.
  4. Afterward, return to the Library and play a recording you intended to retain.
  5. Check separately saved exports in their destination apps.

This routine makes cleanup a deliberate choice rather than a guess about which files matter.
