A Library full of similar thumbnails becomes easier to navigate when names describe what happened. Fesi lets you rename individual videos and whole reaction sessions. Those two names describe different things: one identifies a recording, while the other identifies the group it belongs to.
This is a Library organization task. Renaming does not trim a recording, replace its background or change what the camera captured.
Name the session for the occasion
Open a session and look for Rename Session in its options. Use a short name that describes the occasion or viewing context, such as “Saturday final” or “First episode with friends.” Save the change and return to the Library to check the heading.
A session name should help you distinguish that collection from another evening with similar reactions. If every session is called “Funny moments,” the name adds little to your search. You do not need private details, someone’s full name or an address to make it useful.
Name a video for the particular reaction
Open the recording itself, use its three-dot options and choose Rename. Enter a name for that moment, such as “Last-minute goal celebration” or “The quiet look before the laugh.” Save and check the title when you reopen the video.
Keep the distinction clear: renaming a session does not give each video the same new title, and renaming one video does not rename the session. Choose the level that matches what you are trying to find later.
Use words you will actually remember
Good names are specific enough to separate similar clips without becoming full descriptions. An event plus a reaction often works better than an elaborate naming scheme. For example, “Final whistle cheer” gives you both the occasion and the action.
Avoid relying only on sequence numbers unless you have a separate index. “Clip 14” may make sense immediately after recording but offer little help a month later. Likewise, a title describing an edit you have not made can be misleading.
Verify the result in search
Return to Library search and try one distinctive word from the new name. Fesi’s Library can match session titles and recording display names; available filters can affect which sessions are visible. If the expected item does not appear, clear filters and check that you saved the name on the correct video or session.
Open the result rather than relying on its thumbnail alone. Two reactions can share a similar expression, especially when they were captured in the same room.
Separate a Library name from an exported filename
A name inside Fesi helps organize the Library. Do not assume every receiving app will use that exact text as the exported file’s filename or public caption. Check the destination when saving or sharing, and edit any public text there deliberately.
Renaming also does not create a backup. For a portable copy of important sessions, use the archive workflow and verify the result. For marking personally important clips, see Favorites and search. Use names for meaning, Favorites for importance and playback to confirm you have the right moment.
