Fesi’s recording quality and export quality answer different questions. Recording quality controls the source you capture. Export quality controls how a supported save prepares a copy afterward. Understanding that order helps you avoid expecting a later setting to recover detail the camera never recorded.

Choose the source before the session

Look for Video Quality in Fesi’s recording settings. The available choices depend on platform, device capabilities and access level. The Android capture workflow includes supported 720p and 1080p choices; it disables unavailable quality choices and changes during an active rolling session.

Select the setting before starting. Test the actual camera you plan to use because a choice shown for one setup does not establish that every phone or lens supports it. Do not rely on a resolution label alone as proof of a successful recording.

Resolution is not the same as usable detail

A higher pixel count is not a repair for poor lighting, missed focus or a face outside the frame. First make sure your expression and gestures are visible from your normal position. Then compare representative short recordings if you need to choose between available resolutions.

Look at details that matter to your use: facial expressions, hands in motion and what remains visible when the clip is displayed at its intended size. Listen to the sound as a separate check. Resolution does not decide whether microphone audio was captured.

Choose the output copy afterward

Fesi’s export preference offers Original and Compressed choices for supported saves. Android’s compressed save prepares a 720p copy. This is a decision about delivering footage you already have, rather than changing the original capture.

A 720p source cannot gain genuine camera detail simply by choosing an original-quality export. Conversely, you can keep a source recording while preparing a compressed copy for a particular recipient. See the export-quality guide for that workflow.

Keep shape and duration separate too

A portrait or landscape output controls framing. Trimming controls which portion of time appears. Neither is another name for resolution. A tall export may crop the sides even when its picture quality is otherwise acceptable.

Use the aspect-ratio guide when faces or gestures are being cropped, and the trimming guide when you want a shorter moment. Diagnose the visible problem before changing an unrelated setting.

Make the choice with a short test

  1. Select a supported recording quality before the session.
  2. Capture a brief reaction from your actual seat and lighting.
  3. Play the source in the Library and check movement and sound.
  4. Prepare the sharing copy with the desired export preference.
  5. Open the destination copy and compare the result.

Keep the source until you have verified the output. The right combination is the one that gives you useful footage and an acceptable delivered copy, rather than the highest number available in every menu. Fesi does not promise a fixed file size or processing time for a chosen resolution.
