Automatic reaction capture is useful because you cannot always predict the moment you will laugh, gasp or jump. But detection can miss a quiet expression or struggle with poor framing. Fesi includes Save Recent Moment as a manual option during an active Reaction Mode session.
Think of it as a way to preserve recent footage that is already available to the app. It cannot recover video from a camera that was not running.
When to use it
If something worth keeping has just happened and you are unsure whether automatic capture caught it, use Save Recent Moment while the control is available. Fesi preserves the available recent footage with a short ending.
You do not need to imitate the reaction again first. Repeating it before using the control can let the original moment leave the rolling buffer. Review the result afterward to see what was actually captured.
The manual option is also useful for moments that matter to you even if they are not dramatic enough to trigger automatic detection. Your decision to keep a moment does not have to match the detector’s decision.
Start with an active, ready session
- Place your phone securely with your face and likely movements in view.
- Start Reaction Mode and check the app’s camera, microphone and readiness information.
- Keep Fesi open during the session.
- When a moment has just happened, use Save Recent Moment if the control is available.
- Let the capture finish, then review the recording in your Library.
A short test session is a useful way to learn the control’s behavior on your device before a match or movie you care about.
Why the control may be unavailable
The button depends on capture being ready and recent footage being available. At the beginning of a session, the rolling buffer may still be filling. During another capture or processing state, Fesi may temporarily prevent an additional manual save.
Check the visible status rather than tapping repeatedly. If the camera or microphone is unavailable, resolve the indicated permission or capture issue first. The Android interface may show Recent Moment Unavailable when a recent save cannot be started.
What the rolling buffer can recover
A rolling buffer retains a limited recent window while capture is active. Older material is replaced as new footage arrives. The amount available depends on the recording configuration, readiness and device limits; it is not an unlimited rewind of your session.
If you return after a long delay, force-close the app or start the camera after the event, you should not expect the missing moment to be recoverable. Manual save also cannot repair an obstructed lens or restore speech the microphone never captured clearly.
Review the clip before sharing
Play the saved recording and check its beginning, ending and audio. A clip that includes background conversation or another person may need a different sharing decision than the one you first imagined.
If automatic capture also produced a clip, compare the two before deleting either. Keep the version that tells the story best rather than assuming one method always produces a better result.
